OmniMount Tria-1 Hanging A/V Shelf System (One Shelf) by OmniMount
This shelf is “almost” the perfect companion for the plasma or lcd tv. I’ll start with the bad (That is IF you consider these bad) First..If you’re going to install it over an “existing” sheetrock wall and you don’t have a stud that runs dead center of your tv, then of course you may have to use a stud that is off-center from the tv.. Not so good if you want that “centered” look under the tv. But if that is not a big deal to you, you are good to go. (Keep in mind that the shelf has to be installed onto a wood stud as to support the weight of your equipment) I probably wouldn’t trust those plastic wall anchors for this..but that’s your call.. However, if you are mounting to a cement wall or perhaps during a remodel where you can add the wood stud in the center before installation, that would be ideal. The only other thing was that I found the plastic end caps that slide over the top and bottom of the track a little tricky to slide on.. (may have just been me). Now for the good, I found the unit to be packed very well, arrived in excellent condition, was sturdy, and it really cleans up the look of your setup versus the hanging wires etc. I did a lot of shopping around and places like Best Buy, Target, Sears etc,, even Walmart and K-mart couldn’t compete with the price and quality. Normal free shipping was fast! and it was fairly easy to install, as long as you follow the directions and don’t install crooked by rushing. I am very pleased with the look and quality of it.. You won’t find a better deal.. If it wasn’t for the first two things, I mentioned above, this would be a perfect 5 stars from me. I was very skeptical of perchasing products over the web but this was a great experience from start to finish. I bought the silver and the black one and will likely buy a few more for other rooms..Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS I LOVE IT!!
